We started our business in 2018. We are a small family business working from the grounds of Crichie Estate, Stuartfield in rural Aberdeenshire. We offer a range of native Scottish hardwood as well as exotic timber at affordable prices to businesses and individual craftspeople.
We aim to promote bringing woodlands into management by purchasing the majority of our wood through local estate owners, private land owners, local authorities and other groups, to provide an outlet for such timbers that prevents these from being processed as firewood thus promoting the economic and sustainable production of timber and timber products through processing. We are committed to ensuring that the timber extraction associated with the products we sell does not harm forest conservation. We remain committed to sourcing timber only from proven, well-managed forests.

Our native woodlands are one of the most spectacular and characteristic elements of the Scottish landscape - from the vast Caledonian pinewoods and birch woods in Highland glens to the ancient broadleaved woods in the borders. At WP Hardwood Ltd we have a real passion for the natural resources we have in our great country.
We offer a variety of kiln dried natural edge boards. From logs sawn through and through these are full width, full length boards with natural edges. Our stock is extensive and constantly changing across all species and dimensions. Whether you are a bespoke furniture maker, a specialist joiner, a kitchen maker or you just want a plank of raw wood for a table top, our natural edge board stock is fabulous and will give your project the edge over a more standardised source of timber. We are always happy for our customers to visit our workshop and select your own timber. We are also more than happy to pick the timber to your specifications and have it processed and delivered. Each kiln dried natural edge board is unique.
